AILA 35th Anniversary
Since its founding in 1979, the American Indian Library Association has worked to increase awareness of the library and information needs of Indigenous communities and improve library services through grants, outreach, advocacy, and the work of its members. As AILA celebrates its 35th anniversary, we would like to hear from you about your participation in AILA and what events you have experienced which you feel are meaningful to AILA’s history. We would also love to have any photos from past AILA events and activities. This information will be shared at our program at ALA Annual 2014 in Las Vegas, “Celebrating 35 Years of AILA”, which will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 10am in Flamingo Carson City II. We hope to see you there! Thank you for sharing your memories with us!
